Dear Ajig,

There are many synonyms for the one truth: Jesus died for me.
"In my place" does not add anything to the phrase "for me".
Read Isaiah 53:4-12 and Romans 5:6-10; 6:5-11; 8:32.

Jesus suffered and died the death of the body, offering himself
as the perfect ransom for our sins. By faith, baptism, and
loving obedience, we are delivered from the death of the spirit,
i.e., from eternal damnation.
