| | However, our religion should not be obsessed with gloom and fear. We
| | believe in a Risen Lord. Our hearts through grace are homes for the
| | Blessed Trinity. We work and we struggle; we fall but we rise. We
| | are full of hope. The Bible says: "Cast all your care upon God,
| | because He has care of you."

| Father Mateo,
| I agree with this statement of yours 150 percent. Many times Christians
| think it is their duty to be solemn and prune faced. But there are at
| least 30 different Scriptures in the New Testament telling us to be full
| of joy and happiness. We are not supposed to look as though we have been
| sucking on lemons. It looks bad and it feels bad. And it hurts our witness
| to others. I am a Protestant and have seen many of my Protestant brothers
| and siters who have this "lemon look" about them.
| God bless....

Dear Steve,
Thanks for your very nice message.
Somehow I'm thinking of the old saying: if God sends you a lemon, make
lemonade!
Sincerely in Christ,
Father Mateo
