USEFUL LINKS

ASTROBIOLOGY RESOURCES

The weekly Astrobiology and Planetary Exploration (APEX) Seminars provide an inter-departmental framework for astrobiology discussions at UCL and Birkbeck.

The Astrobiology Web is very extensive and provides links to sites covering all possible aspects of astrobiology. Additional online resources are provided by:

The NASA Astrobiology Institute

The Spanish Astrobiology Centre

REFERENCE MATERIAL

The Nine Planets is an excellent on-line encyclopedia covering all the bodies of the Solar System.

The Extrasolar Planets Encyclopedia provides an excellent summary of our current knowledge of planets around other stars.

The Carnegie and California Planet Search is one of the most successful extrasolar planet searches, and also provides much useful information.

SOCIETIES

Astrobiology Society of Britain aims to facilitate communication between all those research groups and individuals in the UK with an interest in astrobiology.

The Planetary Society has as its mission statement "To inspire the people of Earth to explore other worlds and seek other life through education, research, and public participation," and maintains an extensive site with many useful space-related links.
