- Here is a rather busy plot
comparing correlation functions for samples with mean galaxy space
density of approximately 0.00308 (except for the observational data,
unfortunately, since for the SDSS I have projected rather than
spherical correlation functions, while for the 2dF I have binned
rather than thresholded samples). Hopefully the legend sufficiently
explains the different lines.
- A similar plot to the previous one
but with Galform samples in a bin of blue magnitude. On intermediate
scales they seem to agree quite nicely with the CLF.
- Similar again but the low
σ8 model is shown for a bin two magnitudes wide as it
has low space density.
- Here is a plot showing correlation
length as a function of sample space density for blue-selected
samples. It's the same samples as thesis Fig. 4.14. The points are
for the 2dF from Norberg et al. 2001, and the black line is from the
semi-analytic model in the same paper (I don't go to very low space
density). I've plotted the SDSS result as a dotted line to compare
easily to the r-selected samples.
- Here is the result of shuffling within
bins of mass and local density; only the cyan line is new. This seems
to preserve the relevant large-scale information since the cyan line
now joins on to the original (black) line on large scales.
- r2ξ for cosmologies in Grid 1, for bJ
selected samples with space density 0.00249, compared to the 2dF data
for a thresholded sample with the same space density.
- r2ξ for cosmologies in Grid 2, for bJ
selected samples with space density 0.00249, compared to the 2dF data
for a thresholded sample with the same space density.
- r2ξ for cosmologies in Grid 1 and with GALFORM
parameters held fixed, for bJ
selected samples with space density 0.00249, compared to the 2dF data
for a thresholded sample with the same space density.
- r2ξ for cosmologies in Grid 2 and with GALFORM
parameters held fixed, for bJ
selected samples with space density 0.00249, compared to the 2dF data
for a thresholded sample with the same space density.
- Key to model numbering.
- Constraints on σ8
from the SDSS r-band at a space density of 0.00308, with estimates (in red) for the effect of halo
assembly bias. Uses the full covariance matrix
- Constraints on σ8
from the 2dF bJ-band at a space density of 0.00249. Uses
only the first six principal components, which include 99% of the variance.
