Dear Carlos,

The word is AMBO (not "amble"). The ambo is a rarely heard
synonym for lectern or pulpit. The books say that preaching is
AT the ambo or FROM the celebrant's chair. Walking about while
preaching is not mentioned. If your deacon's pacing during his
sermons distracts you and others, visit with him or write to him
and urge him to stop. Tell him his perpetual motion makes it
harder for you to concentrate on what he's saying.

Sincerely in Christ,
Father Mateo
