| There is a prayer that we used to say in high school before the start of
| every class period.  Although I said it 7 times a day back then, I have
| forgotten it excapt for the line "that every prayer and work of ours may
| begin from thee and by thee be happily ended."  I am just beginning to
| really appreciate that phrase, and would like to teach that prayer to my
| children and perhaps show it to their school.  Does it ring a bell with
| you?  If so, could you quote the prayer?

Direct, we beseech Thee, O Lord, our actions by Thine inspiration, and
carry them on by Thy gracious assistance; that every prayer and work of
ours may always begin from Thee, and through Thee be happily ended.
